Becoming Melbourne’s in-home dog photographers all started with a cuddle on the couch with our boy Ziggy.
At the time Katy was a lifestyle family photographer, capturing heartfelt memories in homes across Melbourne.
We looked at Ziggy and thought…why not photograph families with dogs? After all, dogs are family members too – and home is their happy place!
So, we picked up the camera and set out on a mission: to capture the incredible bond people share with their pups in homes across Melbourne.
7 years and over 250 furry families later, here we are!

We all feel calmer at home, dogs included! In-home dog photography shoots are comfy, relaxed and free from outside distractions – so we can capture you and your pup’s most adorable moments. Ultimately our goal is to create heartfelt images that perfectly capture the personality of your pet and the special connection you share – while providing a memorable experience your whole furry family will love.

Hey! We’re Katy & Shell, Melbourne dog photographers AND empathetic dog lovers. With more than 7 years’ experience photographing dogs of all breeds, backgrounds and temperaments, we’ve developed a knack for helping pups – and their parents – feel at ease.

An English country girl who grew up riding horses, Katy loves good cups of tea, Marketplace finds, and slow days at home with her pack.

Shell
dog whisperer & marketing maven
Shell is our chief dog whisperer and Katy’s side-kick at our Melbourne dog photography shoots.
By taking care of all the behind-the-scenes businessy things, Shell gets to live her dream job of combining her copywriting and marketing background with her love for dogs.
Shell’s favourite things are coffee, homemade cocktails, dog memes, random Google research tasks and watching The Dog House.

Ziggy
‘THE OG’ & ACCIDENTAL HIPSTER
Ziggy is our ‘first born’ and the inspiration behind our careers as professional dog photographers.
A classic Gemini, one minute he’s judging you – the next he’s charming and snuggling you. He’s our gentle, loving boy who also grumbles under his breath often. Yes, it’s an emotional rollercoaster!
Ziggy’s favourite things include stealing food, armpit rubs, and looking nonchalant in a top knot.

Sunny
SLEEPING BEAUTY & SUNSHINE BOY
Sunny joined our little family in 2021, and left his mark on our hearts from day one.
Sunny is the happiest boy around, despite a neurological condition he takes in his stride. He lives up to his name by being an absolute ray of sunshine, and also sneezes when he’s cross!
Sunny’s favourite things are sleep, a plumped pillow to rest his chin on, and making friends wherever he goes.
